quit fronting like you don't know
exactly what we're in for
you know how we do it
we've been down this road before
all this space is fucking killing me
it only makes me want you more
but this track ain't getting faster love
move it slow motion
it's just gravity
that shit's working wonders for me
that shit's why it's late when we meet
let's spark that other one and then wait
shorty our orbits are almost in sync
we can do it so slow
like slower than anyone
on this Earth has ever done
I don't know if we're still in love
but that sure as fuck ain't gonna stop us
what the fuck is gonna stop us?
go ahead and turn your phone off
turn your phone off, and leave it off
but we're gonna keep the lights on
keep em on
ride it like you mean it
you're beautiful, you're fuckin beautiful
you always were a true woman
you always were, girl you always were

To me, it sounds like a jazz band playing in a multispecies metropolis, the predominantly human members of the group part of the loosely connected diaspora of Terrans inhabiting the galaxy after the prospect of remaining on Earth became untenable. It's tinged with longing and sadness, but points to an arguably limitless future for humankind and any non-human friends we make on the way there. Ben Harris
